If you’ve come across me on LinkedIn, at a conference, or have had an email from me, you’ll know I don’t do things the “traditional” way. I’m not building one big monolithic business empire. I’m building a connected ecosystem of brands that all serve a purpose, support each other, and (importantly) help real people grow.
This isn’t random. It’s intentional, strategic, and born from a simple idea: businesses grow faster and better when they’re part of something bigger.
Let me walk you through the logic, the values that underpin it all, and how I manage to stay sane while doing it.
The Brands That Make Up the Ecosystem
Legal Growth
My specialist consultancy for the legal sector. We help firms stand out, build their brands, and modernise their marketing. Think branding, websites, content, CRM, and strategic growth advice without the waffle.
Lincolnshire Marketing
The original marketing agency. We work with a broad mix of businesses to deliver smart strategies and real results. No fluff, no jargon, just proper marketing.
TomCRM
Our CRM platform that helps clients manage leads, automate follow-ups, and stop losing business to “forgot to follow up” syndrome. If you’re not using a CRM, I’m judging you (gently, but firmly). If you’re wondering what a CRM is or what ours does… Think… Hubspot, with Calendly, and Mailchimp built in… all in one place.
FindASpeaker.co.uk
Built I run events and I want the best speakers, I created this platform to remove barriers. Also, I get asked to speak a lot and wanted to give people a flavour as to my topics… This platform connects event organisers with great speakers, minus the faff. If you’re charismatic, insightful and can hold a mic without sweating, this one’s for you. It’s all about position of authority.
Lincolnshire Business Directory
A community-driven directory promoting great local businesses. It’s free to join, and paid features help us do good stuff like raising money for charity. Win-win. More importantly, it’s great for your SEO and GSO.
Beers & Business
Networking, but without the pitch decks. Just proper conversations, community, and maybe a few laughs over a drink. Alcohol optional. Banter encouraged.
Secret Project (coming soon)
Let’s just say it involves founders, sales and marketing, and more value than a two-for-one pizza deal. You’ll find out when the time’s right.
Why These Brands Work Together
They weren’t created on a whim. Each brand has a role to play. Together, they form a connected ecosystem that:
-
Supports business growth at every stage
-
Solves real-world problems
-
Feeds into each other (clients come for one thing, stay for three)
-
Helps people connect, learn and raise their game
They’re all backed by one core principle: businesses should work together, not in isolation. And every single one of them runs on (or is supported by) a CRM. Because if you don’t know who your customers are or where they are in your pipeline, you’re not running a business. You’re just winging it.
The Way I Work (and Why It Works)
Let’s address the elephant in the boardroom: how do I run this many things without losing the plot?
It boils down to three things:
-
Systems – TomCRM keeps us on track. Automation, workflows, reminders, pipelines. It’s not just for clients, it’s how we run everything.
-
People – I never aim to be the cleverest person in the room. I hire smart, collaborate smarter, and work with people who bring energy, ideas, and snacks.
-
Time discipline – I prioritise what matters, say no more often than people realise, and don’t waste hours doing things that a simple system or process could solve.
Also worth mentioning: I coach an U9 girls’ football team, still find time to write, travel, and do good things for charity. This year alone, we’ve raised over £1,000, and we’re just warming up.
The Values That Drive It All
If you want to understand how I make decisions (business or otherwise), here’s what I live by:
-
Never be the cleverest person in the room
Surround yourself with people who stretch you, challenge you, and don’t just say yes to keep things easy. -
You are the sum of the five people closest to you
If those five people aren’t lifting you up, it’s time for a reshuffle. -
Start with Why
Cheers, Simon Sinek. Every brand I’ve built has a clear “why” behind it. When you’ve got clarity, momentum follows. -
Pick-me-up people only
Life’s too short for drainers and doom-merchants. I want to be around people who inspire, laugh, build, and get stuck in. -
Create your own luck
I don’t believe in waiting for opportunities. You build them. One good conversation, one bold move, one random message away from something brilliant.
Why This Matters
I don’t want to be “just another marketing guy”. I want to be a key person of influence, someone who’s built credibility, connection and commercial value in equal measure. Someone who others turn to for guidance, creativity, honesty and a clear plan of action.
My brands reflect that. They’re not just service providers. They’re vehicles for growth, connection, and meaningful impact.
And if you’re reading this thinking, “This sounds like something I need,” then you probably do. Whether it’s a CRM, a strategy, a speaker slot, or a nudge in the right direction over a pint, I’ve built something to help.
Let’s connect. Drop me a line at tom@lincolnshiremarketing.co.uk or visit www.tomstansfield.co.uk. You bring the ambition. I’ll bring the plan.
Cheers,
Tom
